I want to download the "patch" from the Vodafone site so I can run a PAYG mobile internet dongle on my Eee, running on that 'orrid Fisher Price Linux, FTTB.
There is a patch somewhere on the Vodafone website for this purpose, but despite using all the keywords I can think of to search it, the download has been frustratingly fugitive. (Unless, of course, that particular page was 'down' for some reason...
Anyone any ideas?
Pretty please?
Does this help?

I think so - thanks. Looks most useful. Page bookmarked for later digestion - have to fetch pocketful of Eee before I can do anything innit.
Or find a Wi-fi point.
BTW, there's supplementary question - I can use the Eee on my brother's network, my bro'-in-law's, and several others, but it just will not work on the Fat Cat's (Norwich version) network. It's logged there in the Wireless bit, and asks for key when told to 'connect'. Type in key, correct case, but it just gets to 'Pending' and no further. Nothing appears under 'Errors', either.
I've tried on three separate occasions/dates, and on the first one, they rebooted the router twice, but it made no difference..

The key's letters are all in upper-case, and are case-sensitive. I used the caps lock for typing-in the key. Can the caps lock have any influence on the numbers component of it?
