I recently bought some toner from www.refilltoner.com for my ML-1710, for the first time. Delivery was prompt, filling was easy (my cartridge already had a plug I could just pry off), results look fine. No idea about the long-term performance.
Filling is best done outside.

That's very good news. I have the ML-1510 which has the same cartridge and www.refilltoner.com was the web site I was thinking of too.
