OK,
I'm afraid I haven't heard back from the last couple of mails I sent off-list regarding the website over the last week, so currently I think the best plan is for our members to use the ALUG mailing lists, which will keep everyone up to date with what's going on. As far as the website is concerned, though, I'm leaning towards implementing a "quick" MediaWiki site as originally suggested. If/when the ALUG website is designed to offer the same kind of functionality, we can look at de-commissioning the Ipswich site. This way, we can avoid piling on pressure to the current ALUG site owners to rush something through just for us and we won't be left feeling homepage-less whilst waiting.
In the meantime, there's a temporary webpage up here which contains information on the Feb 19th meeting:
http://www.bagshot-row.org/iplug/
We'll go through this email/website discussion at the meeting and come to a firm, democratic conclusion.
I've also posted the meeting to the Announcements list, so that should come through when it's been approved.
Hope to see some of you there!
Peter.
