This happens every time.
Wireless connection works in my brother's house, at my sister's, in other pubs, friends' houses, but not at the Fat Cat. It doesn't reject the attempt, it just sits there smugly and pretends it's doing something.
WEP? WPA-PSK? What are you using to try connecting to it? Are you manually doing iwconfig?
/me has had issues with WPA-PSK before... fortunately I fixed them by actually installing the packages required for it :)
