For a minute I thought ALUG had met the ultimate challenge to its claims to be the most dispersed LUG in Britain.
But, if there were a true Scottish LUG, then you'd have coverage from Gretna Green to Thurso, over country where mostly the human population is sparser then the golden eagle. Organising a kit meet could get interesting!
When anticipating the move to Scotland I joined, The Scottish Linux Users' Group, Tayside Linux User Group, Aberdeen Linux Users Group, and Highland LUG, thats about half the LUG's in Scotland. They don't, together, seem to generate as much list traffic as ALUG, and I thought that our population density was low. I had planned to withdraw from those LUG's which were too far from where I ended up but I may just stayed signed up to all of them and ALUG.
