Having expressed great interest in the proposed Linux lectures my apologies for not making it to the last meeting to contribute to the discussion. (I have unfortunately just got back from being away).
If its not too late to throw in an idea:- maybe materials and ideas from the LFS project could be usefully drawn upon throughout the lecture series (not necessarily the whole thing of course, but appropriate selected bits). This could cut down on preparation time and also provide a body of available, quality written materials.
