Hi Folks,
I've had a 256MB USB memory stick for a few weeks -- very useful for transferring files etc.
Now -- this is twice the RAM (128MB) on my laptop.
It would often be useful to have more RAM!
Is there a way to extend RAM using such a device?
There's no real way that I can think of, and USB is slooooooowwwwww for working as ram, the closest that I can think of is initialising it as a swap partition and using that.
Of course, there's the other issue, in that there's only a certain number of times that you can write to a USB memory stick, and so it would get 'worn out' very quickly and fail.
