Almost certainly not ;-) However, I understand they do a student licence for $99 or there abouts, which isn't too bad - chances of persuading va to cough up the expenses? If you do get a copy, I'd be interested to find out how you get on with it - I'm seriously considering starting operating system development, and vmware would be a *huge* bonus for that.
