Peter,
ALUG Christmas meals seem to traditionally happen early in the year after the Christmas in question - mainly because it's difficult to book somewhere and organise everyone around the Christmas period.
Last Christmas' celebration, for example, was a meal earlier this year at the Reindeer.
Thanks,
David
David,
I'm all for doing something in the new year, if that's easier for people's diaries. You've missed the big point tho ... we're now at two ends of the region. :)
Understandable that it's been traditional of late to hold it at the Reindeer, but now we have two groups do we want:
a) two separate events (open to all)
or
b) one combined event (either located in Ipswich or Norwich* with the expectation of travel, or located somewhere between the two)

sounds like a plan pete. happy with go with separate or single big event. I havent done a night out in norwich! a day out also sounds cool. Not being v helpful here but am happy either way
Nope, support is great - sounds like at least one other person down here would be willing to travel north, which is a good thing to know!
If noone else from our end speaks up, I've no problem with us just going up to the belated Xmas meal in Norwich in the New Year ...
Peter.
* Assuming that the Ipswich meets continue strongly through the next year too, we could alternate years i.e. one year, Ipswich, one year Norwich.
