Looking at the Joggler on ebay - yes, it really does seem quite an interesting little device especially for the price. Amazing. If you use the usb out, is that basically using an external sound card? Wayne, which one do you use? But I have a 10 inch nook and that seems to have reasonable analog sound so that would be an option too.

which is a bit overkill for my needs, but again, for the price.... The reviews are pretty good also.
Anyway, I put in an offer on a thin client so we will see. Yes, take the point that its basically a rather large plug computer! Quite true.
