What do you want to know? I am thinking of writing something for the website on this, but I have been busy writing my first RFC "IP over
Liquid
Beverage Containers" of late so haven't had much time.
If you want to forward me some questions you want answered I will add them as FAQ and also answer them.
Oh and BTW it was me who did the stuff at the UEA.
Yes, I was aware of that but I was busy having the kernel on my machine attended to, by Adam I think, and I never had time to ask questions. What sort of equipment is needed? What sort of cost? What licensing conditions are there and is the exam - I assume there is one - very difficult?
its a brave man who lets adam fiddle with there kernel :o)
The first question I have to ask is what do you want to use it for, how much money do you have and howmany users? Followed shortly by why did you think there was an exam for using wireless?
I know you need to do an exam for a VHF license (got mine soon) but for 802.11 you don't it sits in the Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band and is license exempt. Not however that Bluetooth, kitchen Microwaves, video senders and lots of other bits of kit live in this band.
Thanks
D
