The new choice of venue - The City Gate, Dereham Road - was a great success and many thanks to Brett and Bryce for suggesting it. It has all the benefits of the Forum as well as a few more, which is pretty good going really. More comfortable, better beers and a good selection of food too. Although it is a large pub - a positive - it does not have the emptiness of the Forum which with its cavernous space feels almost like an airport or train station. There's even (unofficial) free parking next door.
Kirsten, Adam, Jonathan, Bryce, Brett, Paul C., Ian, Graham and myself - not a bad turn out and chatter included the usual wide range of topics from programming environments to problems with playing DVDs to fine wine tasting.
Till the next one... Syd
