Have you tried xorgconfig ?

I have just upgraded my Slackware system from 9.1 to 10. It's all gone pretty smoothly really (I'm here for starters, I still have a network, comms., etc.!).
However X, or at least the display side of it seems to have gone a bit wonky and I cant find any useful configuration files, FAQs or HOWTOs at the moment.
The issue probably has quite a lot to do with the move from Xfree to Xorg.
X is actually up and running and my xfce desktop is working locally (I'm using it now). What I'm missing is:-
I can't find any documentation for the xorg.conf file. I just copied my old xf86config file over the top of it and it works but I don't know how to tune it or change it. Apart from anything else the refresh rate is horrible at the moment! xdm isn't working. The win2k system can 'see' the Slackware box and the Slackware box can see the Win2k box but xdm has stopped working.
I can't find *any* video/screen setup documentation, where is it? Is there a replacement for the xf86 configuration program?
