I really like the Lenovo T series and run Mint on mine. They're solid, reliable and quick. I usually buy direct from the Lenovo website, but I believe there is a supplier up on Roundtree way IIRC.
I got a built to order laptop from Anglian Internet on Roundtree way. Very solid machine has given me no problems.
You can buy one without any o/s and they knock off the cost of windows. The cost of upgrading my screen to 1920x1080 was completely offset by not having windows installed.
