If "appz" are applications, then, yes, you can try www.winehq.com but you are better using a GNU/Linux application when one exists, I think.
and if some one could give me information on how to install software then would be great too, Everytime i install RPM files i get a failed message so maybe im downloading the wrong drivers or wrong kernal verison,im new to linux so i dont know much about installing software,
There are multiple incompatible versions of RPM. Your best bet is to find the rpmfind.net match for your system. You probably ought to read some fine manuals, too, such as those at http://www.linuxdoc.org/ -- maybe heavy going at first, but worth it.
