Actually the EULA on my copy of Partition Magic doesn't say that, but I know where you're comming from :o)
I have a single concurrent use license, I can use it on any machine within my organisation as long as I only run one instance at a time.

Partition Magic will resize your Win2000 (NTFS or FAT) dirs quite nicely. It's not free but if you faithfully promised to not copy or redistribute the disks you could borrow my copy (I am firmly against software piracy, but also don't see why you should have to buy this for just one job)
Because the EULA says that you have to buy a seperate copy for each machine that you run the program on, thats what you agreed to when you purchased the software. The joys of non-free software.
