I'm planning to attend (what time would it start?), though of course unforeseen circumstances may intervene.
2pm until 6pm is the usual time.
If there's anyone who would like to be picked up along the way, please let me know.
If people can do lists can they please put up these offers like Ted has? There is already looking like a potential lack of transport for people from Norwich.
Looking forward to this!
You aren't the only one! :)
Also, does anyone have a 1998 vintage computer spare so we can put a period distro on it? I have a clear memory of one of the early alug meets where we had a copy of Redhat 5.X or 6.0. I did find my boxed copy of Redhat 5.1 recently so it will have to be brought along for the geek factor and possibly with an old release of BeOS.
I have a 386 machine in my garage which I could donate (I don't really want it back!) and I can beat your RedHat 5 as I have a copy of RH 4.2 which accompanied a book 'Discover Linux' by Steve Qualline. So , any advance on 4.2? ;-)
Two problems. One is that I'm unlikely to come along to the meeting. I can probably drop the machine off somewhere in Norwich or Barway near Ely though (I was thinking of the route that Ted might take having read his posting) and second is that I have never powered-on the machine as it was a 'gift' from somewbody who wanted to dispose of it some years ago.
