I've recently installed Linux on my computer, and when I tried to configure my connnection using kppp to get to my ISP, I failed because my PCI modem was not configured. I would appreciate if anyone could give advice on setting a dial up connection.
As you say it's a PCI modem I assume its internal, is it a so-called WinModem?, cause if so then you may have a problem. In this case the LinModem site <www.linmodems.org> and the Linmodem HowTo at <www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Linmodem-HOWTO.html> If not then see the general Modem HowTo at <www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Modem-HOWTO.html> Keith ____________ Enlightenment is not imagining figures of light but making the darkness conscious.- Carl Gustav Jung
