I think I really ought to see how Red Hat is getting on at the moment, I remember the last distro I've tried was Redhat 5.2 to 6.2. But moved on to Debian thanks to it magical 'apt-get'. However, I still compile ;)
I tend to use Red Hat primarily because it's what gets used at work and is supported by most the commerical packages that exist for Linux. It's not the greatest distribution by a long shot I know, but it does nonetheless get the job done.
Speaking of commercial support, I've certainly not come across somebody speficially supporting other distributions other than Red Hat. For example, does anybody know of any commercial Linux packages that will provide technical support for Debian or even Mandrake users?
BTW, I'll have ISO images available for anybody that wants them for either of the InstallDays. I'll have to plop the discs in the post to somebody who is attending (I'm thinking that my talk will best be delayed until after June) so that copies can then be made from that.
