I've not had much problem. I just downloaded it from the relevant website. I run a Ubuntu variant, & I had to tweak it a bit: On Options/Sound Devices, I make sure everything is set to PulseAudio server. Then I had to install pavucontrol. This shows up my the menu as PulseAudio Volume control. I then had to use the PA Vol Control to select my input sound/video device and output sound device as I have a plugin webcam. After that, it just worked! HTH Steve
