Never seen the need, still can't see the need - the font at bios level isn't displayed long enough to care about - if you're really spending that long in the BIOS then you're probably doing something wrong!
It appears that getting the font data out of the BIOS is a case of a system call and then reading from an offset, poking it back in I can't see how to do...
