I am looking for a portable device which I can use for uni which has the following features
- SSh client
- Qwerty keyboard
- PCMCIA slot for 802.11b card
I have looked at either a cheap or second hand laptop running bsd or a compaq Ipaq or possibley somthing combled togther from PC104 boards. What would people suggest? It just needs to be reasonably cheap and have the ability to ssh into my shell account.
There is the sharp sl-5000d pda - http://www.sharp.co.uk/pda/ It's only available to developers at present (I don't think there is a qualifier). It runs Linux natively and there was a large discussion on /. about it recently (can't find specific url as /. is down at present).
Of course, 'reasonably cheap' is in the eye of the beholder.
