Only just caught up with this thread. Is it sorted now? or still unresolved?
50% sorted, in that we have a home via Wayne but he expressed some doubts about making it to meetings? I'm not 100% sure.
So that the task doesn't continually fall to one person maybe we can pass it around every 6 months or so?
Incidentally does anyone know if other lugs operate their own library? and, if so, how they organize things? Be particularly interested to know if any of them have computerised it in any way or form.
The trouble with passing it around is keeping track of the books, it does become easier if only one person has to track them. We did consider/try the computerised thing but it didn't work all so great as Kirsty was writing down who picked which book at which meeting into a notebook and all it meant would be copying the information again. Of course a computerised library system would mean that it could be decentralised... It depends on which way the library goes tbh, and it would really be up to the librarian at the time with what they wanted/could be bothered to do.
