Because the BBC programmes play back so badly if I watch them online I thought I'd try installing the desktop version of iplayer. However, towards the end of the process a message comes up saying 'Enter password for default keyring to unlock.' I had thought this would go away eventually but it hasn't. Googling tells me that this is used for wireless connection but of course all I wish to do is download a programme and I'm not able to. What do I do? Thanks.
The wallet can hold just about anything and is used to hold "secure" info rather than using a config or .rc file. It stores info in the wallet each time you run it so it can keep track of what programs should expire. (or so I am led to believe). When it asks to open the wallet just give it your password. I think there should be a check-box to say "remember this" so it shouldn't need to ask again.
Well it worked for me anyway.
