If you have installed Windows XP, and are trying to print to a samba shared printer, and getting an "Access Denied" message, the solution is:-
Add the following to the printers section of smb.conf
printer admin = <username>
This can be a comma separated list of users
The reason being is that XP port let you connect to any shared printers unless the user has admin rights on that printer.
Just thought I'd share this, in case anybody else was getting as frustrated as I was!
