Hey all, My name is Richard. I'm new (duh!). I am slowly moving my workflow over to linux. Currently I am using SUSE 8.2. I am trying to work my way towards Gentoo (If anyone has the CD's for gentoo, I'd really appreciate a copy, just a name a price for cd's etc).

My main use for computers is 3D modelling and 2D image editing, in september I am starting a Games Design degree at the Norwich School of Art. Does anyone else at ALUG use any form of linux as part of their 2D/3D workflow?

You should have a look at http://www.blender3d.org. Unfortunately you've just missed an eleven month tutorial on Blender in LXF though the Blender foundation do publish a book. The download is only a few Mbs and its easy to install.
