I was about to send a email to a few people about the next few ALUGs, but then I seemed to add so many people that I might as well use the list and involve everyone, I though.

Next three meeting dates are: Aug 20, Sep 17, Oct 15 (all Sundays).

August: can we return to Syleham again, John? Adam, will you be able to show off Zeus to us slobbering webmonkeys?

September: We really really need a new location for this one. This is undergraduation weekend at UEA, which is a really really bad time to try to get a room or anyone with any time to organise anything. If it is at UEA, it would definitely need putting back a week.

October: Martyn, if the speaker from SuSE is available, we should be able to arrange a room at UEA, maybe even one of the nicer lecture theatres, although we might have to beg contributions to meet the cost if they insist on charging. If he is available, can you mail me with what facilities he needs and I'll try to arrange this ultra-early so we can get extremely good publicity out there.

The rest of you 'orrible lot could volunteer for various aspects of promoting these events, producing posters, taking a few to computer shops in your area and mailing the details to various websites and magazines. Most of that needs to wait for confirmed details, though.

Anyone with time more immediately could step forwards to help with the website. As soon as we get *something* up, we'll start keeping a "volunteers" page where you can say you'll do stuff, to avoid duplication of effort and the bad memories of the veterans :)
