I'm attempting to burn an MP3 onto a DVD but there are a few problems not least of which that I'm a novice at this. I'm using DVD-R.
My DVD drive doesn't appear to be recognised by either Brasero or XfBurn. It's told me one of them is full but I've clearly not done things properly as it won't play in my CD player. I need help.
Ubuntu 12.04 LTS.

In case anyone's interested, I think it might be user error. Or at least a slightly older CD/DVD drive that would be happier writing to a CD ta very much so not exactly a Linux problem at all.

It happens. :-) I've been caught out before when trying dvds on a drive that I knew was a writer, that had the CD and DVD logo on it. Trouble was it was a cd writer, and dvd reader!
