My Linux Notebook shows my first install was mandrake 8 on the 5th of the 7th last year, (this after two years of having Windows as an electric typewriter and nothing more; second-hand computer cheaper than new word processor). Moved up to 8.1 which showed every sign of becoming a Linux version of Windows by 8.2 so moved on to Slackware 8, which looks as if, if I live long enough I might just be able to catch up enough to be able to control it by the time I'm 70 or so.

My insoluable problem, printing, it won't! But I'll have to get Chris my son-in-law to outline the problem. (I'm expecting his post to follow).
