Nah, as long as the subject line keeps up with the topic being discussed, I don't think anyone minds. Things like this where it may well come to someone having to pay a visit are probably best off here, but sometimes it's better to ask questions in uk.comp.os.linux, as more eyeballs makes shallower problems.
