Are any ALUGgers going to be at the Tour of Britain grand depart (Ipswich waterfront - where's a good place to park?) or finish (Norwich showground) on Sunday 9th September? Anyone like to meet up for an ale (well maybe not at the start: 10am!) and some tech chat while we wait for the race?

I may well be around that weekend, though you'll have to remind me nearer the time, if you wanted to meet up in Ipswich.

The most convenient car park for the marina is probably the one on Duke Street:

But as I don't know where the Tour of Britain is gathering, I have no idea whether they'll be intefering with that car park or not. They might be re-purposing it as a meeting point - they did take over it for the recent Maritime Fostival.

If that doesn't work out, you could try the car park at the other end of the docks off Bridge Street:

Of course, if it's busy they might all fill up, so it's probably a matter of trial and error depending on how early you get there. As a next fallback, I'd probably look at the car park off Grafton Way first, which is pretty big but isn't too long a walk to get to the marina ...
