Hello, Are there possibly any openwrt users out there who can help me?

I bought a cheapy Linksys WRT54GS for a networking/electronics project I've got in mind. I flashed it with openwrt with no problems, until I tried setting it up as a bridge. It has lost the network config file and is running the IP address of 0.0.0.0 (a bit of a problem) I can get it into failsafe mode but can't seem to get tftp to upload a new image to it in failsafe mode. I did try to write a new network file but it wouldn't let me write the file (this may be my failing with permissions rather than openwrt!).

Does anybody have any experience of openwrt who can suggest a solution other than opening the box and resetting the flash?
