I'm sorry to be a pest, but I am completely in the dark as to what actually happens at an ALUG meeting - from what i can gather we all turn up with as many bits as possible and join them together and get them working/networked/whatever whilst drinking copious amounts of hot liquids. Or cold, if there is a pub at the end of the road. Are there many at meetings, do you know each other, are there any others like myself who are struggling with the basics still, is it worth coming even if you don't bring your linux box, etc? Do send me a pointer to any info up on LUG sites if I've missed it. Cheers, Jenny.

Sounds about right :)

From what I remember, average attendance is about 5-10. Hopefully more at the next one as we haven't meet in a while.

Please do attend. There is normally enough expectise to assist in many problems. Meetings are rather informal, so it's a case of yelling for help (I can't get x working, can someone help!).
