There are reasons for trying to glue all kinds of things together, but often trying to do this internally to the processes is a bad idea and some sort of message-passing over sockets between servers is a lot easier to do properly. Glue is good... I mean, look at how perl's OO is stuck on as an afterthought. Blessing references? What's all that about, then?
