Any xorg config wizards here?
I have a touchscreen (attached to a Pi, if relevant) that will show web pages in a kiosky way. That means I want to disable everything that the touchscreen can do beyond point and click. That is, I want to get rid of any right-click emulation, click&drag to select, multi-touch, etc.
Bit of a long shot but my Googling so far isn't throwing up any likely solutions.
I *think* what I want is: - short press = click - long press = click (ie no different from short press) - drag across screen = do nothing (unless very short distance in which case treat as a click) - any multi-touch = do nothing

This isn't an answer to your question, however, it might be helpful.
TheMagPi magazine March 2018 has a small information column saying
Webkiosk OS 7 Released. A Raspberry Pi makes for an ideal kiosk PC, but you'll need a robust, secure and dedicated OS to go with it - enter Raspberry Webkiosk 7 - now updated to Raspbian Stretch
Hope this is of help to someone.

Thanks, I'll download it and see if it does what I need, then try and pinch the settings from it.
I also found FullPageOS and Screenly, which I'm also looking at (Screenly didn't fix it, FullPageOS I'm not sure about yet as I haven't driven it far enough to be able to test it).

I'm no xorg wizard, but I installed Mint Cinnamon 18 on an HP laptop with a touch screen and it just worked. When I next get hold of it, I could let you have copied of whatever config files you want, as there might be clues on there.
Cheers, Laurie.

Thanks, but getting the touchscreen to work wasn't actually that much of a challenge. The problem is disabling all those things that make sense on a desktop (such as selecting text by dragging over it, long-press for right-click, gestures, etc) but which don't make sense in a kiosk where you just want simple point & click.
Chances are that some of the settings I need won't even be touchscreen related. Eg: Click your normal mouse and drag across the screen and it'll select stuff. That's the sort of thing I want to disable. Might be something related to accessibility?
