Next weeks tutorial? Ok, maybe I've not read all the ALUG emails and have missed something, but I also am quite interested in video manipulation etc. through Linux so would be keen to attend if possible....

Well, last night's Blender tutorial didn't happen, though I did fire up my new laptop and Matt was able to knock up a monkey ... errr ... that didn't come out right. :)

We fell back to a lot of techy talk, esp. about a number of cool open source devices which seem to be hitting the market at the moment.

Anyway, I'll write up the notes, (tho maybe not till Weds) so you can see what you missed.

Oh, and next week's tutorial is on video editing, dvd production etc. by Wayne and sounds like a really useful one. I, for one, can't wait for it! It's been on my to-do list to work out video manipulation ever since I dropped windows ...
