Umm...meeting? IRC what?
Could we (am I the ONLY one?) "total newbies" have our own section of the newsletter where people speak slowly and have diagrams at the ready should they be necessary? lol
Does ALUG have a website? I've found a couple links to one but can never get it to load.
Also, I've got some sort of OS selector on here, should I keep it or ditch it before installing Mandrake?
*getting nervous now!*

IRC is an online chat system, you may want to look here first http://www.irchelp.org/ as there is lots of help.

We don't really need a beginners list, don't be put off by people talking technical etc. if you have a question ask it, if the answer is not something you understand then please ask again. We are a friendly bunch (unless you are related to a certain Mr W. Gates ;))

Yeah, try this, http://www.alug.org.uk/ I will look at fixing up some stuff now (either the footers in the email or where the anglian.lug.org.uk has gone)

What kind of OS selector? and what OS does it allow you to select between?
Adam PS sorry everyone about allowing a post with a binary in (the .gif in kellys last mail through to the list) I noticed just as i approved the mail that the bit it was telling me about strange headers meant the .gif....

Yes, we are! Ask us questions! I need to exclaim less!

I guess anglian.lug.org.uk is down to Martyn to move? I'm not sure they'd listen to me.

Or maybe the HTML, which shouldn't be let through either. Better luck next time.
