I will be at the venue from around 1:00pm and will open up the bar if required.
I have a Linux newbie coming along to see "all this Linux stuff is all about". I will bring an old spare box to install some distro on (maybe latest SuSE if anyone has a copy on cd or dvd).
Hmmm. You've got another: thobut I know what it's all about - on the surface.
I will be bringing - well, Syd will be bringing me and it - an almost pristine box with Debian loaded. (By kind attention at Syleham a while ago)
I'll be bringing the Debian CD set anyway, and Knoppix, and if you think it might be useful, the coverdisks from Linux Magazine issues 1 - 20 and some apps on PC Pro coverdisks.
Also it has been mentioned elsewhere, either on this list or on irc that a discussion on copyright issues surrounding books, education and other matters arising would be a good idea. I would also like to hear something about sotware patents and the possible implications if they are forced upon us.
Yes. Must do some mugging-up on the issues if I find a tuit of the correct shape.
