Thanks for all your help with sorting me out a Linux setup and answering some of my newbie questions.

I am writing this on my IBM ThinkPad 380ED, running Damn Small Linux and using a Linksys WPC11 v2.5 wireless card.

This machine flys along, much different to the crawling it did with Windows 98. It really has brought this old piece of hardware back to life and is as easily as fast for browsing and emails as my 1Ghz eMac.
