Hi
My ThinkPad R31 arrived at last, but I am having a problem installing Ubuntu. Im using 9.10 as it is a proper CD not a burnt one.
I have a 60GB hd in it. Ive split the drive into 4 partitions.
12GB for XP (which is installed), 12GB waiting for Ubuntu, 1GB swap and 30GB ish for saved files which will be FAT32.
XP is installed. Using the Ubuntu Live CD it gets to the partitioner and says 'cant create file system' while trying to create ext3 or ext4 on the Ubuntu partition.
Any ideas? Is there any point in using the Alternative CD? I did have problems before using the standard disc and partitioning.
