Do we want to have the Christmas meal in November or January to avoid the big Christmas rush? Anyone able to suggest good places to eat and have a few drinks? also anyone able to give a good price range for what we poor Aluggers can afford?
No more Aluggers interested?
I'm interested, as long as it is not in the first 2 weeks of December (the time of the 4-deadline panic), nor on a Monday. If it's Tuesday - Thursday I prefer in Norwich because then I don't have to take a day off work. Will drive, and offer lifts.
I don't know many places in the north of the area; I've mainly been to the extremes of very expensive or studenty cheapo, neither of which are likely to be suitable. Very cheap would be ok for me.

I am just going to come up with a random date here, Thursday the 6th of Jan ?
For me the later the better, because no doubt it will involve travel from Bury St Edmunds and I'd like to get as much work as possible done beforehand.
Why the 6th of Jan I hear you all collectively scream, well it was my preference for a time after the whole Christmas thing, and I reckon it will take until about the 6th for my new year hangover to subside to a level were I am allowed to attend social functions.
I'd favour a Friday or Saturday evening, or maybe Sunday lunchtime.. Preferably somewhere easy to get to - How about The Falcon on Cromer Road on the north side of Norwich ?
Regards, Paul.
