A bit off topic but, BT have just set the trigger level for 2300 exchanges including a number in East Anglia, where I live Freethorpe we have a trigger of 350, which isn't bad going.
Try doing an ADSL check on your line, lets see if we can get a couple more exchanges in "rural" England enabled!

Well worth the effort in getting friends and relatives to register. Not long after we hit the trigger level here in Swaffham BT set a date for the exchange work. A week later I was up and running.
At first I despaired of us ever hitting the level but the word got out and people registered like crazy.
A work colleague of mine got a group going (in Herts) to organize a registration process; asking people to register, using people's details (with permission) to register and even using the names and numbers of local firms as well.
Fakenham's broadband pressure group are running a competition to win an X-Box (AFAICR). To enter you give them your details and they register you on your behalf.
