Hi, Well, the hard-core ALUGers from the region descended once again on Ely to have a good chat and a pint or two. Myself, Rob, Kirsten and Adam turned up in the Fountain and had a good natter. The smoke rose to record levels so we decided to find a new pub. The new venue for Ely meets is the 'Prince Albert' pub which is just up the side-road from the Fountain, and is opposite one of the pedestrian exits from the council carpark. The Prince Albert was nice, happen to have a cheap book sale to raise money for the Haddenham Wildlife Sanctuary, and happen to sell a good ale or two. Much geekery was perpetrated, and a jolly good natter. Thanks to Kirsten and Adam for turning up, and hopefully we'll see a few more of you at what is turning into a nice regular pub going evening for a bunch of geeks. For the beer geeks among you it has also won 3 camra awards recently (in the past year iirc) including best pub in cambridgshire (also iirc) Adam -- jabberid = quinophex@jabber.earth.li AFFS || http://www.affs.org.uk/ || Not a filesystem
