I have an SME server running ide raid and was wondering if anyone knew of a way to code some sort of shell script so that if one of the drives fails you can power down the box replace the drive then run said script to initialise the partitions on the new device the same as the single drive of the mirror that is running and then start the resync proccess keeping you informed every now and then of hwo it's coming along and when it's finished, possibly.

Ideal solution would be fireable from the a php page that can be linked into the main web interface.
