Can anyone tell me when the next meeting will be, now that I am back in Norwich.
Also, is anyone actively maintaining the alug site?
Next meeting is on Sun 18th June @ Syleham Village Hall 2:00 to 6:00 pm.
cheers, BJ

Not sure I'd describe it as actively, but yes, I update it as and when I get a chance. I have a big list of features to add next time I have time to breath.
Andrew.

Look, the poor guy doesn't even have time to finish his words off! Andrew, you really must complain to your employers ;-)
Is it time to move ALUG's website to another account and give someone else the opportunity to act as webmaster? Anyone feeling like tweaking some HTML (a bit more often than Andrew gets chance to) etc? If so, let's get it moving! It doesn't look good for a supposedly technically competent group to have a 1999 last updated date on its website :/
Oh, and Paul, Brett, I'm vetoing you already. You won't have enough time :P

I'd be happy to maintain the ALUG website if content is supplied by others for inclusion on the site. Of course I would carry on with announcing new meetings, who's coming, etc, but I don't have the time to generate 'new' content for the site - including meeting reports.
However if others were to email me reports, new items to add, etc, I would happily format them in the ALUG 'style' and post them onto the site. Wasn't there some new stuff talked about recently on this list?
If Andrew's happy to give me an account of www.anglian.lug.org.uk I would be happy to maintain the ALUG site in the limited capacity identified above.
Sorry to be so specific about the functions I would provide, but like everyone else my time is limited, and I think a 'group built' ALUG site would lead to a better result anyway. We could have different people supplying: - meeting reports - articles etc.
Are other people willing to assist in creating content?

Might it be worth putting the site under CVS control and giving quite a few people access to it?

Now there's a clever chap... /me kicks self.
Anyway, an immediate concern is that the mailing list signup page is now completely wrong. Andrew, can you move the link to the page on rabbit, please? http://rabbit.stu.uea.ac.uk/cgi-bin/listinfo/alug/
