I've just noticed this in my logs:
kernel: sr0: CDROM (ioctl) reports ILLEGAL REQUEST.
It appears to have happened after I played a CDROM although everything seems to work.
Can anyone explain why this should occur and will I be arrested for it?

If it happens occasionally on particular discs, there may be some small imperfection in them. I had it happen a lot on all discs and it indicated that my CDROM had just expired...
