As a matter of interest, has a definite date been decided for the next meeting at the UEA? I'll need to make a move with regards to arranging the SuSE presentation and need to have definite dates and times ASAP.
It's due to be 16 May (eek!) in line with the "third Sunday in each month" meeting policy. Before I left in somewhat of a hurry for Germany, I did leave details of the meeting with someone (/me glares) with the hope that they'd pass them on. I can move the meeting back a week if needed (and I suggest that it probably is), but I need to know before Monday.
Information for October 2000 issue:
How about: Meets on the third Sunday of each month, usually. Check website for times and venues.
I was very impressed with the range and quality of Linux magazines available in Germany, who surely must be a long way ahead of us in Linux adoption judging from that. If it can be mirrored in the UK, that's surely a good thing.
I see the meeting dates (16 May) as well as numbering systems (ALUG 28) are taking a proprietary route. :-)
I for one would welcome the meeting being put back a week to 23rd July as it looks like I'll have to miss the 16th. It would break my flawless attendance record!
Cheers, BJ
