I have, at last, managed to get lm_sensors working on my Tyan Thunder K7 dual processor board and I am monitoring the results with Gkrellm. This gives me two levels of warning. (1) Chips are getting hot - sound the alarm and (2) Turn the thing off before it cooks. Can anyone tell me what temperature values I should set for these and ditto for the chassis temperature? As I have also managed to get this machine to turn itself off after shutting down (shutdown -h now) I can also set Gkrellm to activate this at the higher temperature of the two levels. I can also run sensord to log temperature levels but have had to disable it because it keeps logging a chassis intrusion detection alarm. Although the board has a header for this it is not connected. Anyone know a way of disabling this? Many thanks Barry Samuels
