Question: for our village, I would like to set up a mailing list, so I don't have to keep sending out paper minutes and action items for a local group I'm being made responsible for. Any suggestions on who to get service from, what to use and so on?
It will be small membership and low traffic.

What sort of group? You are probably best off with a ecartis, sympa, mailman or enemies-of-carlotta service from someone else (but remember to back up your data, just in case they vanish). If it's a social change project, http://lists.riseup.net/ is one sympa possibility.
Hope that helps,

I believe that Black Cat Networks (who host the Alug mailing list) provide mailing list services.
