But Windows sees the large capacity now as does NetBSD. So why doesn't Debian?
As a guess, the Debian installer/partitioner is going by the size reported by the BIOS, NetBSD and Windows are going by what the disk and controller say. I could be wrong as I havn't bothered to google it up, its just a suggestion :)
